Jaimon and Kamilah both come from a Florida legal family.  They are siblings and the children of Justice James E.C. Perry, who currently serves on Florida’s Supreme Court.  They are both also very active members of the legal and civic community.

Throughout her career, Kamilah has distinguished herself as a leader, including serving as past president of the Virgil Hawkins Florida Chapter of the National Bar Association, a state-wide voluntary bar association with over 400 attorney and judicial members, and past president of the George Edgecomb Bar Association, the largest predominately African-American bar association in the Tampa Bay region.  She has also served on the board of the Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers, served as a member and Chair of the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee, and was appointed by the Mayor of Tampa to serve as a member of the City’s African-American Advisory Council, serving as Community Development Chairperson for that Council.  She is also a founding member of the Tampa Bay Black MBA Association, a member of the Stetson University Lawyers Association Advisory Council, and previously served as a member of the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections African-American Advisory Board, in addition to having leadership roles in many other social and legal organizations.

Likewise, Jaimon ran for County Court Judge in 2012, gaining notable recognition as a highly qualified and experienced attorney in Seminole, Brevard, and Orange County, Florida.  Jaimon is also very active in the community as President of Florida S.P.E.C.S., a non-profit organization focused on affordable homeownership, and is a Board Member of Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida, Inc., where he provides much needed pro bono services to disadvantaged citizens.  Jaimon also serves as a moot court judge for Florida A&M University College of Law, was a mentor with the Jackie Robinson Youth Baseball League, and is a former member of the Board of Directors for the Negro Spiritual Scholarship Foundation and The Kingdom Church.  In 2012, Jaimon was also nominated as one of the Orlando Business Journal's 2012 Most Influential Men.

The Perry Law Group is proud of its long standing relationships in the community and remains dedicated to its public service commitment.
